Biography
of Timothy Howard (Sound Engineer)
Timothy
Howard started in the music business in 1986 at the age
of 4 when his uncle bought him a guitar from Spain. 10 years later
at the age of 14 he joined his first professional band called 'Company
C'. In 1987 Tim was to appear on a T.V. programme called 'New Faces'
with a band called 'Strange Rooms'. After a few of these bands split
up, Tim eventually ended up with a P.A. system and began to learn
the basics of Sound Engineering.
Over the years Tim has engineered for artists such as 'Sam Brown'
and 'Rik Wakeman'. It was in 1992 that Tim first engineered for
Voulez Vous and worked with them for many years before leaving in
1994/95, to be the 'front of house'engineer for a Wigan band, named
'The Tansads'. After touring a live album "Drag Down The Moon"
around France, Brittany and the U.K. he went back in the Studio
to demo songs for a new album. It was at this point he was asked
to play guitar as well as engineer. After recording a new album,
"Reason to Be" (their last) and touring again, Tim decided
to leave and join Ex Bass player of the Tansads, Robbie (now plays
for Vouslez Vous) who had started to write his own material. They
now have a managerial and Publishing agreement with 'Hug management'
and 'Perfect songs'. Not long after this, Tim was given the oppertunity
to work for Voulez Vous again and returned in 1999. After the birth
of his son Joshua, he decided to do the right thing and whisk his
girlfriend off to Las Vegas to get wed... taking time off to engineer
an album for a band called 'The Tansads'. It was in 1999 that Tim
returned to Voulez Vous.
Tim's son - Liam is often touring on the road with Voulez Vous
and helps his dad out with the setting of the sound equipment.
