Biography of Janine Thomspn (lighting Engineer)

Janine Thompson at the age of 7 had developed a keen interest in sewing, making a number of things throughout her school days and also received many certificates for her work. At the age of 10, Janine remembers entering a 'Craft' competition with a soft toy that she had made. After the competition was over the judges announced that Janine was to be commended with a certificate. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, the judges quoted "They did not believe she had made something this good".
At the age of 11 she began working in a hairdressers and continued to do so until the age of 16. After leaving school, Janine decided on Hairdressing as a career and soon landed herself a job working as apprentice with a top London Hairstylist. Having trained successfully Janine started up her own Hairdressing business as well as making costumes for the bands earlier years when they were known as 'The Ritz and Xtra'.

Since becoming the lighting engineer for Voulez Vous back in 1993 the work load became too much and Janine made the decision to work solely for the band.
